Kristina Massa

Kristina Massa serves as a Training Specialist with Justice For All. She is based in Wichita, Kansas.

Kristina’s love for the unborn started on the streets of San Francisco. While marching and praying amidst a crowd of a few thousand strangers, she felt the presence of hope radiate down Market Street. This hope, of course, was in spite of the tragedy that motivated the march: the legal injustice of abortion. It was her first West Coast Walk For Life, and although she was only seven years old, this fond memory inspired her to love the woman and the child — a principle which now echoes throughout her campus conversations.

Six years later in 2013, Kristina’s brother Luke was born. A blood test drawn shortly after his birth revealed a Down syndrome diagnosis. As with any life-changing event, many “How’s” and “What if’s” began to billow in her family’s mind as they navigated through the unknowns. But after seeing Luke’s infectious smile for the first time, they were quickly assured that everything would be okay.

During her college years, her pro-life conviction developed into a passion. After learning of a loved one’s decision to terminate a pregnancy, Kristina felt helpless knowing there was nothing she could do to turn back time to change the woman’s mind. The grief from the news left the question ringing in her ears: “How can I help women choose life before they find themselves pregnant?”

Today, Kristina engages college students all over the country in conversations about abortion to do just that. She's conducted outreach at UC Berkeley, UCLA, Colorado State, Texas State, University of Arizona, in addition to many other university campuses. Her experiences from these conversations have taught her how to tactfully balance truth and love — that is, to make a case for the equal rights of the unborn without forgetting the dignity of the woman or the person with whom she disagrees.

Kristina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education Sciences from the University of California at Irvine where she served as the president of the Students For Life club. She served as an intern with JFA in fall 2021 and began raising support to serve in her current role as Training Specialist shortly after that. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbook journaling, calligraphy, and finding yet another book to add to her reading queue.

“People start to listen once they feel heard. When we set our agenda to the side for a moment, we allow ourselves the space to realize the factors that lead to someone’s worldview. A conversation that is founded on listening to understand (as opposed to listening to refute) is the kind of conversation that can truly soften hearts and change minds.”
